A native of the Chicago area, Steve discovered an interest in wine while working in the restaurant business as he earned a degree from the University of Illinois. During a 15 year restaurant career, he was the general manager of two Mobil 4 star restaurants, and a food and beverage director for a major hotel company. From 1991 to 1998 Steve worked for Griesedieck Imports in Missouri, first as a wine sales manager mentored by Doug Frost MW, MS, and then as General Sales Manager. Eventually Greisedieck Imports became part of the Glazer’s Family of Companies, one of America’s largest fine wine wholesalers. In 1999 Steve moved to Atlanta to become Southeast Regional Manager for King Estate which he had sold as a wholesaler since its inception. In January of 2001, Steve was promoted to the position of Director of Sales, and then later Director of Marketing and Sales. In July of 2007, Steve became Executive Vice President, where he continues to oversee sales, marketing, and PR, while also leading winery strategic planning. Thomson also holds one of the two Oregon board of director seats in ‘WineAmerica,’ the National Association of American Wineries, and serves as Chair of the Oregon Wine Board’s Wine Export Advisory Committee. - Sasha Kadey - Director of Marketing

In coordination with Steve Thomson and Ed King, Sasha manages all aspects of King Estate’s consumer and trade marketing, from the vineyard to the glass; including King Estate’s packaging, advertising, and web presence. Sasha also oversees community outreach, press relations, communications, and acts as a winery spokesperson. An avid computer user since 1990, Sasha built King Estate’s website himself and represents the winery in all social media activities (reach him on twitter @KingEstate). Gary Lynn joined the King Estate Sales Team in 2001 after being the Vice President and Eastern Division Manager of the Napa Valley's Rutherford Benchmarks, Inc., a company that he helped found in 1995. Prior to that, Gary spent 23 years with the wine division of Brown Forman Corporation, rising to the position of Southern Division Area Wine Manager. Gary's background also includes distributor sales experience with McKesson in Miami, Florida. A native Texan and 1986 Graduate of the University of Oklahoma, She brings a very diverse food and wine background. She joined King Estate in 2001 by way of Hirst Imports, Inc. of Oklahoma, where she was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and a very successful distributor of King Estate Wines. Prior to her responsibilities with Hirst, Shelli held District Management positions for Kendall-Jackson in Dallas and New Orleans, and she was an Area Manager for Kendall-Jackson’s Artisans and Estate portfolio in Houston. Previously Shelli also held distributor sales and management positions with Hirst Imports and Jarboe Wholesale of Oklahoma. - Randy Ford - Coastal Regional Manager

Randy is a 2006 NDC Master Level Sommelier and he was instrumental in helping develop and manage creative sales and educational wine training programs for NDC at the state level.

Brad is originally from Florida where he graduated from Florida State with a BS in Business and Marketing. He immediately moved to Aspen, CO, and, with efficiency foremost in mind, he was able to pack in 20 years of living in one year. He moved back to Florida and spent 3 years as a waiter/sommelier at the Mobil Four Star, Maison & Jardin restaurant in Orlando, where he learned much about fine wine. He worked for Southern Wine & Spirits for the next 14 years, where he started the Fine Wine Specialist position and finished as Assistant State Manager for their Transatlantic Division. From 1997 to 1999 Brad served as Regional Manager, North & Central Florida, for the Seagram Chateau & Estates Wine Company.
Looking for a change in climate and a smaller company work environment, he found both in Monterey County, moving to Salinas and working as Morgan Winery’s Sales & Marketing Director from 1999 through 2008. Since early 2009, Brad has served as National Sales Director of Bonny Doon Vineyard and for Niner Wine Estates in Paso Robles.
Brad and his CA-native wife Laurie reside in Salinas with their son Mitchell, who was born in 1996. In his free time he is an avid cyclist and fitness enthusiast, attempts to play the guitar on occasion and enjoys listening to as much great music as he possibly can. - Aaron G.
