We look forward to welcoming you to our 1,033 acre certified organic property located just 20 miles southwest of Eugene, OR near the town of Lorane. The King Estate Visitor Center combines the tasting bar, our estate restaurant, and conference rooms for private functions. Highlighted by panoramic views of the Lorane Valley our property is situated in a unique location nestled among the beautiful hills and valleys of western Oregon. We provide regular winery tours throughout the day.

The King Estate Restaurant opened in May of 2006 and has since become known for its exceptional gourmet menu. Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Michael Landsberg, is highly talented in wine and food pairing, and creates dishes featuring vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers grown in our organic gardens and orchards.

Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the restaurant is founded on a dedication to enhancing the wine experience.

King Estate Tasting BarTasting & Touring

We offer extensive wine flights, which allows our visitors to sample our entire portfolio of current release wines as well as past vintages. We also offer a bottle list from the King Estate wine library, which houses noteworthy wines from past vintages difficult to find beyond the Estate. In addition to leading your tasting, our Wine Educators lead tours of our winemaking facilities. It is a walking tour (wheelchair accessible) and lasts approximately forty five minutes. We offer tours on the hour from 12 to 5PM, unless prevented by extenuating circumstances. Please call ahead to confirm tour availability.

Philosophy

  • Dedicated to pairing Northwest wines with regional food products, King Estate's culinary team, led by Executive Chef Michael Landsberg, uses seasonal organic ingredients whenever possible. Most of these come from the Estate's 30-acres of organic gardens and orchards.

Executive Chef Michael Landsberg

  • Most recently Chef de Cuisine of Eugene’s Marche restaurant, Michael is a 1988 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After graduating from the CIA, Michael enjoyed stints at four Michelin rated restaurants in Europe: Two-star Restaurants Amphycles in Paris, Bouley in Ravensburg, Germany, Altes Post in Nagold, Germany, and the highly regarded three-star Le Crocodile in Strasbourg, France. Among the many outstanding restaurants where Michael has had the opportunity to hone his craft are the legendary Cellar in the Sky at Windows on the World in New York (Chef d’partie, 1986-87), Aqua Restaurant, San Francisco (Sous Chef, 1992), Campton Place Hotel, San Francisco (Executive Sous Chef, 1994-1995), Height’s Restaurant, San Francisco (Chef de Cuisine, 1995-1998), California School of Culinary Arts, CSCA (Chef Instructor, 1999-2000), and Inn of the Seventh Ray, Malibu, CA (Executive Chef, 2000-2004).

  • We accept reservations for indoor seating only. If guests are waiting, we will hold reservations for a maximum of 20 minutes. Outdoor seating will be managed by the concierge on a first-come, first-served basis.
