The MarketPlace
The King Estate MarketPlace is our new seasonal outdoor market and the home of our estate grown organic produce. Over 25 acres of certified organic gardens and orchards provide a wide variety of farm fresh produce, beautiful fresh cut flowers and even organic plants for your home garden. The King Estate culinary staff prepares gourmet sandwiches, wraps and salads from local and estate grown ingredients that can be enjoyed on the MarketPlace patio overlooking our vineyards. We also provide a wide selection of local cheeses, fresh baked breads, coffee and tea and of course, King Estate wines by the glass or bottle.
Our goal is to help restore the declining relationship between the consumer, the farmer and the community. Agriculture was an extraordinarily important aspect in the establishment of Oregon communities and it can continue to play such a role today. By embracing sustainable practices and featuring locally grown, organic produce the MarketPlace allows people to rediscover this vital connection and once again enjoy foods produced in their towns, by their community members for the benefit of everyone in the surrounding areas. As a gathering place for families and a venue for local musicians, artists and organizations, the MarketPlace brings the community together in a way that speaks of decades past.
In 2006 we presented a variety of events new to Lane County in our lively yet casual atmosphere. From our Live & Local Music Series to the first ever Lorane Valley Wine & Garlic Festival, the MarketPlace was happening each and every weekend. We featured talented local musicians each Saturday and Sunday afternoon all season long and special events designed to delight kids and adults alike.
