1992 Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker's Notes
The garnet color of this wine is so deep that it almost appears black at a distance. It displays complex, enticing aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, cassis, licorice, sweet oak spice, coffee, tobacco, cedar, and face powder.
On the palate, dense, intense blackberry and cassis flavors are joined by vanilla, tobacco, and licorice framed in well integrated oak spice. The soft, mouth coating tannins follow through the long, intense finish. Suggested retail: $30.00

Growing Season
The 1992 growing season was long, dry, and hot resulting in Oregon's earliest recorded grape harvest. Many vineyards showed early drought stress resulting in small berry size and consequent low juice yields (125-140 gal./ton) and a high skin to juice ratio.
The juice showed concentrated, intense aromas and flavors and the Cabernet Sauvignon skin color was very dark.
