Winemaker's Notes
This brilliant, golden straw Pinot Gris exhibits rich aromas of ripe pear, nectarine, pineapple, citrus, and peach in the nose. With a smooth, inviting mouthfeel, this Reserve displays excellent mid-palate viscosity and a nicely balanced acid structure.
In the mouth, ripe flavors of peach, pear, orange, apple, melon, and anise linger through the soft, velvety finish. Suggested retail: $18.00

Final Analysis: 13.3% alcohol; TA: 0.64 g/100ml; pH: 3.39
Fermentation: 100% stainless steel, temperature controlled tank fermentation. 10% malolactic fermentation.
Aging: On the lees for six months. 40% aged in large oak ovals.

Growing Season
The 1996 season was typical for Oregon, cool and clear for most of the spring and early summer, with an average fruit set.
Good weather conditions continued through mid-August allowing for a slow, consistent development of fruit flavor.
Despite intermittent rainfall during the harvest season, the fruit showed intense aromas, colors, and flavors.
