Pinot Gris, Reserve Willamette Valley 1998 $18
Brilliant straw hue. Pure, high-toned peach and mineral nose. A racy entry leads to a medium-bodied palate with a firm, phenolic edge. Taut and well-structured. May actually be best in six to 12 months.

King Estate 1998 Pinot Gris Reserve, Oregon
One of the few reserve pinot gris, this has a rich mouth feel and ripe tropical fruit flavors. This is a big, delicious wine. $18.

King Estate
The 1998 Pinot Gris Reserve, Oregon $18, was aged sur lie for 10 months with 56% of the wine being aged in large oak ovals for six months. A nicely rich and sweet nose of melon, lemon, and tropical fruit with floral notes precedes a palate with lemon, green apple, melon, sweet apple, spice, and nuts. The finish is long, medium crisp, and has lots of sweet citrus, apple, and spice.

Exceptional wine— and great value. The Reserve is richer and more intensely flavored — top quality. No ML. (2000-2001) 800.884.4441
