1996 Signature Pinot Gris

Winemaker's Notes

Aromas of tropical fruit, tangerine, floral perfume, and magnolia blossom are accented by hints of vanilla and anise in this wine. In the mouth, the wine is rich and round with flavors of citrus, tangerine, peach, anise, and pear.

This Pinot Gris maintains a perfect balance of fruit and acidity throughout its soft, lingering finish. Suggested retail: $13.00

Growing Season
The 1996 season was typical for Oregon, cool and clear for most of the spring and early summer, with an average fruit set.

Good weather conditions continued through mid-August allowing for a slow, consistent development of fruit flavor.

Despite intermittent rainfall during the harvest season, the pinot gris/grigio fruit showed intense aromas, colors, and flavors.
