1994 Signature Pinot Noir
Winemaker's Notes
The very deep garnet color of this pinot noir wine forecasts the intense, mouthwatering, deep black cherry, raspberry aromas enhanced by hints of cedar, cinnamon, and black pepper seamlessly integrated with sweet oak and vanilla.
In the mouth this wine veritably explodes with black cherry, blackberry, and cassis framed in toasty oak spice and vanilla. The tannins are smooth and velvety and the beautiful fruit flavors linger in the long, spicy finish. Suggested retail: $18.00

Growing Season
Oregon weather was cool and rainy during the bloom period and the fruit set was poor.
The summer was warm and sunny with very cool nights which prolonged fruit maturation.
The fall was hot and dry and the fruit reached full maturity, and was harvested before the fall rains started.
The poor fruit set in the spring provided very low yields at harvest. Pinot Noir fruit quality, however, was superb with concentrated aromas and flavors, and beautifully balanced acids.
