Tasting Notes

Long admired by our winemakers, Temperance Hill fruit became available to us for the first time this vintage. Notes of blackberry, forest floor, violets and rose petals on the nose give way to blueberry, truffe, wet stone and sweet oak on the palate. The finish lingers, showing balanced acidity to the end. Enjoy now through 2026.

Vineyard Notes

One of the higher elevation vineyards in the Willamette Valley, the world-renowned Temperance Hill Vineyard has established a reputation for excellence. This sustainably grown vineyard has been carefully cared for by Dai Crisp since 1999, yielding fruit that lends itself to elegant, complex wines. This Pinot Noir is no exception, with earthen notes of blackberry and truffle.

Winemaker Notes

Whole clusters are destemmed then subjected to a 48-hour cold soak with daily pump overs. For further concentration of flavor and color, 10% of juice is bled off the red wine during fermentation using the Saignée method. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel open top tanks with daily punch downs. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, 30% new.
